The brief
Following the Ofwat draft determination, Severn Trent needed to deliver a high-stakes update to investors and analysts. It had to be flawless, professional and clear. The twist was that the CEO would be out of the country, and the requirement was for it to look as though all the presenters were in the same location.
Broadcasting from Coventry
The broadcast came from a professional set we built at Severn Trent's Coventry headquarters. Multiple PTZ cameras gave smooth, dynamic cuts between the speakers on the executive panel. vMix, our chosen vision-mixing platform, powered the production and fed a custom-branded livestream portal with live Q&A submission and full attendance analytics.
Bringing the CEO in live from France
With careful planning and no compromise on quality, a dedicated team travelled to France to facilitate the CEO's live participation. The remote contribution was integrated so cleanly that to viewers it felt as though she was in the room.
Watertight behind the scenes
Meticulous rehearsals, rigorous technical checks and contingency connectivity plans kept everything secure. The result was a polished, seamlessly delivered broadcast, with no glitches and no distractions, just clear, confident communication to stakeholders.
An ongoing partnership
This adds to our regular delivery of Severn Trent's twice-yearly financial results, including location filming and editing the day before stream day, hosted on our bespoke investor portal. See our financial results webcasting service.
